ABOUT THE KING'S CROWN

The King's Crown is the King's College London dental student magazine. Our aim is to enrich our students' experience here at King's by providing a platform to share your opinions, discuss topical issues in the world of dentistry, and learn about upcoming opportunities especially tailored to you. On top of this, you can keep up to date with the goings-on in their dental school, with our social section that reminisces about events gone by and dishes out stories that'll make you blush like the floor of a deep cavity.

With articles written by our very own students, The King's Crown wants to bring out all the budding writers, giving you a chance to swap the drill for a pen. As well as journalism, we're eager to brag about our students' many other talents, including art and photography. If you'd like to get involved by writing for us or designing our next issue's cover,                     and we'll be happy to tell you more.

MEET THE TEAM

Catherine Liu, Chief Editor

I'm in my fourth year here at King's, and still as ardently proud of it as ever. The proof is in my towering pile of hoodies, jumpers and sweatshirts with 'KCL Dental Institute' emblazoned across the chest. When I'm not advertising our dental school to the world, I like to dabble in art, music, and trying to swap one of my left feet for a right one.

Danielle Kelly, News Editor

When I started writing for the King's Crown, the confidence boost I attained from having more than five people read my work made me reach for the stars with the role of news editor. How do I do it? Well, in the words of Veronica Corningstone: 'while they're laughing and grab-assing, I'm chasing down leads and practicing my non-regional diction.' Stay classy San Diego.

Anish Patel, Special Features Editor

Hi everyone! I’m now in my third year of what has been an interesting and diverse experience at King’s so far. Whilst most experiences have been pleasant, the overfilled and sluggish lifts every morning I could have done without.

Outside of dentistry, I regularly enjoy sport and fitness.

Shree Patel, Social Editor

I'm currently a second year student at King’s who enjoys a wild social life. You’ll see me in my element at the club or probably at Guy’s Bar every Wednesday. Basically I'm a self proclaimed BNOC who just wants a normal life without all the papparazi and fans.

Sanjana Sudarshan, Publicity Officer

I have the mission impossible task of trying to secure us as many likes as a Kim K selfie. I've loved every minute of my time at KCLDI. With the dread of our penultimate year looming, I've taken it upon myself to keep as busy as possible, which will undoubtedly end in me sitting in bed with a bag of gummy bears watching reruns of Gossip Girl and 90210 on repeat.

Krisanth Ragudhas, Media Officer

I'm currently in second year persevering to make it as a dentist. I have a strong interest in drawing and have been involved in many design based projects in the past and hope to explore more in the future. I'm also passionate about photography and video making, hoping to further develop my skills and explore new horizons with the King's Crown.

Aren't we adorable? Courtesy of Krisanth Ragudhas.
